PAY RATE: $15.00-$17.00 per hour (Non-Exempt)

DESCRIPTION: The golf course greens keeper position is responsible for operating general use equipment for the purpose of maintaining the golf course and performing greens keeper duties, along with performing the duties of a laborer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent guest service to guests, internal and external, through active guest engagement and positive attitude.
  • Charged with labor such as burning, brushing, raking, shoveling, digging, string trimming, push mowing, and hand watering.
  • Cleaning and maintenance on equipment, general pond and building maintenance, operating a variety of equipment such as greens mowers, deck mowers, tri-plex mowers, push mowers, string trimmers, chain saws, pole saws, sod cutters, sand trap edging, grass weeding, utility carts, and any other duties or equipment deemed necessary by the golf course superintendent and/or foreman mechanic.
  • To remain in compliance with Casino Regulatory policies and procedures, employees are required to attend all necessary meetings and training facilitated by Management.
  • Due to the dynamic casino environment from time to time, we require employees to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management.

Skills & Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required to have reliable transportation to work.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays during the summer.
  • Must be willing and able to learn operations of equipment and job duties.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding labor.
  • Requires oral and written communication skills.
  • Must pass background checks and other pre-employment screenings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
  • Willing to attend seminars or educational courses pertinent to the golf course.

GOLF COURSE EMLOYEES ARE ALLOWED TO GOLF FREE OF CHARGE DURING THE OPEN GOLF SEASON. THIS BENEFIT IS FOR THE INDIVIDUAL EMPLOYEE ONLY AND DOES NOT EXTEND TO FAMILY MEMBERS.
